U&I Recruitment's client is a leading supplier of innovative product development, design, and sampling for premium lingerie, activewear, sleepwear, and lounge categories. They collaborate closely with top UK high-street brands, focusing on delivering high-quality, trend-forward products. They are now seeking a highly motivated Junior Pattern Technician who has the passion and ambition to grow into a Product Technologist role. The candidate will work closely with the UK central sampling team, focusing on pattern creation, grading, design modifications, and managing design concept requirements. Junior Pattern Technologist - the role:

Assist in creating accurate and production-ready patterns for lingerie, activewear, sleepwear, and lounge collections.

Perform pattern grading and size adjustments based on customer specifications and brand requirements.

Work closely with the UK central sampling team to manage pattern changes, corrections, and updates.

Support design and product development teams with pattern-related technical input during concept development.

Assist in the review of fit samples and make technical modifications as required.

Ensure that all patterns meet quality and production standards.

Maintain an organized and up-to-date library of digital and physical patterns.

Collaborate with product technologists and designers to translate creative concepts into technical patterns.
Junior Pattern Technologist - the candidate:

Basic knowledge of pattern creation and grading, with eagerness to learn and advance into a Product Technologist role.

Familiarity with pattern-making software such as Lectra or Gerber is essential.

Understanding of garment construction techniques, particularly for lingerie, activewear, sleepwear, and lounge categories.

Good attention to detail with the ability to troubleshoot pattern and fit issues.

Strong willingness to learn and grow within a technical product development environment.

Effective communication and team collaboration skills.

Ability to work under deadlines and adapt to fast-paced design and sampling cycles.
