The Role: Garment Decoration Operator (Screen Printing & Embroidery)
We are seeking a skilled, hands-on operator to join our in-house production team, working across both automatic screen printing and industrial embroidery processes. You will help deliver high-volume retail and wholesale orders to exacting standards.
You’ll be operating equipment such as MHM screen printing presses and multi-head TAJIMA embroidery machines, supporting production across both disciplines as required. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop within a fast-paced fashion environment and grow their skills across multiple areas of garment decoration.
Key Responsibilities
Embroidery Duties:

Operate multi-head Tajima embroidery machines with precision
-
Prepare garments: de-bagging, framing, hooping, thread matching, and design loading
-
Monitor embroidery runs and ensure consistent stitch quality

Perform daily maintenance: cleaning, oiling, replacing needles
-
Conduct quality control checks on positioning, tension, and final finish
-
Maintain a clean, organised work area
Screen Printing Duties:

Operate automatic screen printing machines (preferably MHM)

Assist with screen setup, ink mixing, registration, and quality control
-
Support print runs with garment loading, unloading, and finishing
-
Identify and resolve common print issues during production
-
Maintain accurate records of production runs and machine settings
General:

Work collaboratively across both print and embroidery teams
-
Help train apprentices and support junior staff
-
Follow health and safety standards on the production floor
-
Contribute to process improvements and lean production flow
Candidate Requirements:
-
Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in embroidery and/or screen printing production (desirable)

Experience with Tajima embroidery machines and/or MHM print presses preferred

Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask under pressure

Able to work independently and as part of a team

Good understanding of garment construction and fashion decoration

Enthusiasm for learning new skills and growing with the company

Comfortable using basic IT and production tracking software
